She, Her, SoMeBoDy!!!!!!!

She, Her, Somebody comes from a culture where right from inception till you become a young adult, you're raised more like cautioned never to share your personal issues with others. I feel led to do this because in some communities there's little or no awareness about certain things, plus to some people this is probably a TABOO ( you feel me) probably due to fear or several superstitions or just plain lack of understanding, I believe this experience based on a true life event can encourage others...so here it goes........

It all began like a dream in late summer of 2011, She had been a waitress as usual at this Bar just to make enough to pay for her transport to and from University, the daily struggles and hustle of a young single lady. At a young age, she never once laid her hands on eating healthy and as she got older her eating habits got worse...."old habits die hard".

She was completing her table rounds when she checked her watch, it was 11pm ,...."gosh I have to get home, I have to start again at 6am tomorrow" all of a sudden she felt a sharp pain to the right side of her lower abdomen, she clutched herself as she thought "it must be because I've had nothing to eat all day", ignoring the pains she made her way to the bus stop.

On arriving home, her favorite meal had been prepared for her but for some reason every time she ate this pain got worse, but at least now she had some food in her stomach so she took some strong painkillers and went off to bed, everything seemed fine the next morning and she carried on as usual without even thinking once to report these symptoms to the doctor.

She was fine for almost a year, when in the summer of 2012 everyone around her started reporting that she looked very lean, trying to cover this up she blamed it all on MSc stress....in her heart she knew she really had not been able to keep food down for the past year, everything had been a force-feeding experience which had never happened to her before, she had once been healthy, glowing and happy and now she looked like a shadow of her old self and still she ignored the warning signs, by late Aug 2012 the pain had spread throughout her body (joints, back, chest think of it ), as she got home day after day she would clutch herself with a hot water bottle and she would say silent prayers, "God, where are you? help me I don't want t die" but then again in her heart she knew she had to call the doctor but was very afraid to do so out of fear of being told she had "CANCER" the words rang through her head "ha emi ke, God forbid". Her first warning alarm should have been when her bathroom habits changed from twice a week to 10 times a day, but she still ignored this.

The next morning she ran to the bathroom, only to discover that she was passing blood, as she screamed "JESUS", her entire family rushed in.......

THE STORY CONTINUES.......
